Unlearning51
I’m 51, and I’m unlearning a lifetime of who I was taught to be.
The responsible one. The good daughter. The one who could handle it. The one who kept everybody else okay.
Somewhere along the way, I stopped knowing where all of that ended and I began.
So now I’m figuring it out. Out loud. And turning what I’m learning into language and tools to help other women unlearn it too.
Starting with guilt.
If you’re the oldest daughter, the good daughter, the one everyone calls when things go sideways… you might recognize yourself around here.

The Personality Lie
What if some of the things you’ve always called your personality… aren’t actually your personality?
Responsible. Easygoing. The peacemaker. The dependable one. The one who somehow knows what everybody else needs before she knows what she wants.
I know. Rude.
The Personality Lie helps you start separating who you actually are from the survival skills and guilt patterns you learned so long ago they started feeling like you.
FREE GUIDE
5 Signs You Were the Parentified Daughter
You were the mature one. The helpful one. The kid nobody had to worry about.
Everybody called you responsible. Capable. Independent.
Nobody mentioned that some of the things you were praised for as a kid might be the exact things exhausting you now.
5 Signs You Were the Parentified Daughter will help you start recognizing the difference between who you are and what you learned to do because you had to grow up too soon.
UNLEARNING GUILT
Knowing why you feel guilty doesn’t make the guilt disappear.
You said no. Nobody died. So why are you still awake at 2 a.m. replaying it?
Setting the boundary is one thing.
Not explaining it to death, apologizing for it, fixing everybody’s reaction, or taking the whole damn boundary back because the guilt got loud? That’s the part nobody warned us about.
I created Unlearning Guilt for that part.
The Guide gives you the language to understand what that guilt is actually doing. The Workbook helps you practice something different—letting people have their reactions, noticing what isn’t yours to carry, and choosing yourself even when it still feels uncomfortable.
Start with the Guide, work through it with the Workbook, or get both.
Turns out, a lot of us are unlearning this.
"Might be weird to say, but your posts have given me the courage to stand up for myself against my emotionally immature mother recently. I was scared out of my mind but I did it and I feel so empowered now."
